• The metal ion water treatment device involves vertically installing the main electrode on a bypass pipe between the water pump and the filter. This setup is controlled by a dedicated controller. As water flows through, it activates the electrode. Valves are installed at both the inlet and outlet for easy maintenance. For areas with significant height differences, a one-way check valve can be added.

Mechanism

• Copper and silver ions are generated through electrolysis using the principle of positive and negative electrodes. These ions disperse throughout the water in the entire piping system, filter, and pool. The ions disrupt and damage the outer walls of bacteria, leading to the rapid and chemical-free destruction of bacteria and algae microorganisms.

These silver ions attach themselves to and penetrate the walls of bacteria and pathogenic microorganisms.

National Standard

The pH of pool water should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.8 to ensure water clarity and stability, preventing corrosion and scaling.

Turbidity measures suspended particles affecting water transparency. Pool water turbidity should be below 5 NTU or maintain a visibility of about 1.5 meters. To ensure clear water quality. The turbidity limit is set at less than 1-2NTU.

Maintaining proper circulation, disinfectant levels, pH balance, and regular filter backwashing ensures control over microorganisms. Total bacterial count should be ≤200 CFU/L for health safety.

Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) include all dissolved inorganic metals, salts, and organic matter. Ideal TDS levels range from 400 to 500 mg/L.

Copper and silver ion disinfection

The disinfection method is purely physical and chemical-free, which does not affect the pH value of the water.

The copper and silver positive and negative ions combine to form flocculation, which can be filtered out by the filter.

• Silver ions have a high reduction potential and are strong natural antimicrobials. A concentration of 0.5-1 ppm in water can inhibit 99.9% of bacteria and algae. Silver ions continuously kill bacteria as they are released from dead cells, ensuring long-lasting effectiveness.
• Copper ions effectively inhibit and kill bacteria, particularly autotrophic bacteria, and can eliminate pathogens like E. coli and Legionella. They also prevent green algae and athlete’s foot. Common biocides and algaecides often contain copper or silver ions due to their efficient antimicrobial properties.

The TDS value of copper and silver positive and negative ions working normally is also higher than 400~500 mg/L

Ozone Processor

It has strong oxidizing ability and can reduce odor, odor, color and metal ions in water, as well as reduce turbidity. The sterilization effect is significant, the action is rapid, the disinfection effect is less affected by water quality, it is broad-spectrum and efficient, and has few side effects.

Ozone has a weak effect on algae and red nematodes. It has no sustained effect and needs to be supplemented with chlorine-based agents. Ozone disinfection equipment is expensive and consumes a lot of electricity.

High raw water turbidity and consistent water flow thickness are required. Sterilization effectiveness drops sharply with deeper water and lacks sustained effects. Pure chemical disinfection

Strong bactericidal power, relatively low cost per treatment

Chemical agents are toxic and irritating to eyes and skin. They are corrosive to swimming pool equipment and metal products and require high management. They are dangerous to transport and alkaline substances need to be added to neutralize them when added to swimming pools.
